Saints of the Living God, GREETINGS!
It is another week, and we thank and rejoice in the Living God, our Heavenly Father, through the Lord Jesus Christ, for His provision, love, care, and his indwelling peace in us by the Divine Person of the Holy Spirit.
Main Bible Scripture: 1 Corinthians 1 v 30
Other Associated Scriptures: James 3 v 13-17, James 1 v 5, Proverbs 4 v 7, John 10 v 10, John 1 v 4, Romans 5 v 5, John 8 v 23 and so on.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we thank you for another week of divine health, divine peace, divine provision and divine wisdom and revelation of God, the Father of spirits. We come today, this very hour, in our own accord, to feed our born-again spirit-beings with the rich nutrient of God’s Holy Word. We agree that your Word is the truth. We trust the Holy Spirit to bring the light of God’s Word into our minds and the direction of that Word into our spirits. We trust you, the Lord Jesus Christ, that we will be doers of your Word and not hearers, readers or speakers only. In Jesus Name. Amen
Theme/Subject: Wisdom 2
In series 1, we learned that wisdom is the ability to use knowledge. Wisdom is not natural but wisdom is spiritual. For us, sons and daughters of the Living God, Christ Jesus is our WISDOM (see 1 Corinthians 1 v 30). He is the wisdom that came from above. This is the wisdom of the Father of spirits. This wisdom is the ability to use knowledge for the benefit of others and oneself. This wisdom springs out of Agape love, the nature of the Living God. It is the wisdom of God that caused the believing ones in Acts 4 v 32-37 to do away with selfishness and to be of one heart and one soul and neither did anyone say that any of the things he or she possessed was his or her own, but they had all things in common. Nor was anyone among them who lacked. Why? This is because those among them who were possessors of [extra] lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold and they distributed to each as anyone had need. Here we see the wisdom of God in its fullest expression through Agape love where selfishness was eliminated and none of them lacked. The believing ones in those days used the revelation knowledge that they had received to build a community where no one among them lacked.
They allowed the wisdom of Go to flourish through Agape love. Since the fall of man in the garden of Eden; no group of people or civilisation that had lived to overcome selfishness except after when men and women receive Christ Jesus (the wisdom of God) and become new creations, sons and daughters of the Living God. This is because the ability to use knowledge to benefit others and oneself is rooted in Agape love and the wisdom of God emerges from Agape love. For Agape love does not seek its own (see 1 Corinthians 13 v 5). When the wisdom of God is in operation selfishness is overcome. Imagine if all of us that are new creation in Christ today allow the wisdom of God to build our homes, our communities and our communities. It is possible but will we allow the wisdom of God, whose is our Lord Jesus Christ to have His fullest expression in us to eradicate selfishness? It worth noting that nothing that a natural person can come up with is able to solve the inherent trait of selfishness except when this person receives Christ Jesus, the wisdom of God, to become a new creation and that this person is willing to allow the wisdom of God to fully express in him or her through Agape love to create the kind of society that Agape love builds or develops. A society or communities that no one lacks. So far it is clear to all of us that our natural education system has failed to build this kind of society that no one lacks. So far it is clear to us all that our democratic system has failed to build this kind of society that no one lacks. So far it is clear to us all that religion has failed miserably to build this kind of society that no one lacks. For the simple reason that the natural person is inherently selfish until he receives Christ Jesus as Lord and Saviour to become a new creation. The new creation people are not religious; they are simply born-again by the Father of spirits in Christ Jesus. The new creation people have the Creator as their Father through Christ Jesus. Please pause and reflect!
Selfishness is the striking characteristic of the natural person. A natural person is not born-again by the Father of spirits in Christ. The first child of selfishness is hatred and the second child is greed. Selfishness has wrecked nations, divides families and ruins lives. Wars have been fought and are being fought today because of selfishness. Selfishness has never made anyone or anything better or prosper. Selfishness destroys. Satan destroys. Christ unites.
The only answer to selfishness is Agape love. Agape love gives birth to the ability or wisdom to use knowledge for the benefit of others and oneself. Christ Jesus is our Wisdom, our Divine Ability!
There is an opposing wisdom to the wisdom of God and this wisdom enables selfishness and creates society where lack defines the order of the day. James 3 v 14-15 describes this opposing wisdom as earthly, sensual, and demonic. This opposing wisdom to the wisdom of God is also spiritual and it lies against the truth or the reality of God’s Word. Satan, who is a spirit is the author of this opposing wisdom to the wisdom of God. This opposing wisdom of Satan is the ability to use knowledge to bring the worse to a person, group of persons, or to oneself. This opposing wisdom to the wisdom of God gives birth to selfishness. Hatred and greed are the classic traits of selfishness which create lack and instability in societies. The answer to selfishness is Agape love.
There are two kinds of knowledge. Spiritual or revelation knowledge and natural knowledge. The natural knowledge is gained through the processes or activities of the five senses – what we see, what we smell, what we feel, what we hear and what we taste. This is the basis for our natural education system. The human brain relies on the interpretations of the activities of these five senses in order to function. The absence of or the malfunctioning of these five senses renders the human brain useless. The human brain is as good and relevant so far as the five senses are functioning to their capacity. The spiritual or the revelation knowledge is derived from God the Creator or from Satan, the Counterfeiter. This knowledge is not taught in our natural educational institutions but it is given and it is received supernaturally. We will explore these two kinds of knowledge in our next series.
