Saints of the Living God, GREETINGS! Our theme or subject is “The Easter It is another week, and we thank and rejoice in the Living God, our Heavenly Father, through the Lord Jesus Christ, for His provision, love, care, and his indwelling peace in us by the Divine Person of the Holy Spirit. Main Bible Scripture: 1Peter 2 v 24 Other Associated Scriptures: Matthew 27 v 35, Mark 15 v 24, Luke 23 v 33, John 19 v 17-18 and so on. Prayer: Heavenly Father, in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we thank you for another week of divine health, divine peace, divine provision and divine wisdom and revelation of God, the Father of spirits. We come today, this very hour, in our own accord, to feed our born-again spiritbeings with the rich nutrient of God’s Holy Word. We agree that your Word is the truth. We trust the Holy Spirit to bring the light of God’s Word into our minds and the direction of that Word into our spirits. We trust you, the Lord Jesus Christ, that we will be doers of your Word and not hearers, readers or speakers only. In Jesus Name. Amen Theme/Subject: The Easter Message Message.” The Easter message is really what the angel and the Resurrected Christ instructed the ‘Women’ to go and tell the other disciples. To go and tell what? To go and tell that Jesus is risen from the dead (see Matthew 28 v 7). We also noted that when Christ Jesus was raised from the dead; we were also raised with Him from spiritual death. The ‘we’ in my last sentence signifies: you and I that are born-again in Christ Jesus. For God made us alive spiritually with Christ and raised us up together with Him and made us sat together with Him at the right-hand of God Almighty in the heavenly (see Ephesians 2 v 4-6). God did all that for us because of His great love with which He loved us in Christ Jesus. You need to renew your mind to know that in Christ Jesus; you are greatly loved by God. No one will ever love you as the Father of spirits, loves you and I in Christ Jesus. I know the boyfriend or girlfriend that you are now dating or seeing may try to tell you that he loves you more but that is not true. You will soon find that out pretty quickly. Your natural mother may try to tell you that she loves you more but that is not true. pg. 1 Your natural father may try to tell you that nevertheless, not my will, but as You he loves you more but that is not true. Your best friends may try to tell you that they love you more but that is not true. In Christ Jesus, God greatly loves you. He greatly loves me in Christ. Renew your mind to this reality and continue to live a life of an overcomer in Christ. Please pause and reflect! In series 01, we noted from God’s Word that Jesus went to hell not because He committed sin but because He allowed His Father (now in Him, our Father) to put the sins of the world on Him. He became the very nature of the old serpent, Satan, on the cross for us. He became our old nature. The spiritual death nature. That is not the end; He was the first born over all creation (see Colossians 1 v 15). 1 Peter 2 v 24 reads “Who Himself (Jesus) bore our sins in His body on the tree (the cross), that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness – by His stripes you were healed.” The sinner commits sin(s). But He who through obedience allowed sin to be put on Him does not commit sin and therefore is not a sinner. Jesus prayed – “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; will!” For the very first time, the Father of spirits allowed the sins of the whole world to be laid on Him or put on His Beloved Son, our Lord Jesus. And in doing so, for the first time, the Beloved Son was separated from His Father or died spiritually and entered hell not because He committed any sin(s) but sin was laid on Him. Because He had done no violence, nor was any deceit in His mouth (see Isaiah 53 v 9). Somebody may say ‘I cannot understand that Jesus went to hell’. My brother or sister, it is not about what you can or cannot understand with your naturally head but in Christ, it is all about believing God’s Word in your spirit or in your heart and practising the Word by saying or doing. You and I in a million years cannot understand God’s Word with our heads but we can believe God’s Word in our hearts or in our spirits. The point here is that, allow Him go to hell. He is our REPRESENTATIVE! Do not STOP HIM. For if He did not go to hell, then you and I had to go there and that would be the end of us. But Him, our Lord Jesus Christ, who knew no sin, was made sin for us, so that in Him pg. 2 we might become the righteousness of the right-hand side of God with us by the God (see 2 Corinthians 5 v 21). Jesus, our Lord, ended-up in hell, defeated Satan and all his forces and resurrected by the operation of the Father. Out of the Father’s great love; we were made alive with Christ and He raised us up with Him and seated us up with Him at the right-hand of the Father with Christ (see Ephesians 2 v 4-7) That was not the end of our journey with Christ but it was the beginning of our New Life of righteousness in Christ. Not by works, lest, anyone should boast. Our boasting as sons and daughters of the Living God in Christ Jesus should be centred on ‘who God the Father has made us in the Resurrected Christ Jesus’ and what He is working through us by the Holy Spirit today for preaching Christ to the world. It is Jesus who descended into the lower parts of the earth (hell) and He is also the One who ascended far above all heavens, that He might fill all things (see Ephesians 4 v 8-10). But the overarching point here is that we need to continue to renew our minds to the teachings of the Holy Scriptures that Jesus descended into the LOWER PARTS OF THE EARTH (Hell) and He that descended also ascended far above the heavens to sit at operation of the Father of spirits. Sadly, many born-again children of God have not renewed their minds to these realities of what God’s Word teaches but rather what their church doctrine and creed teach and they become enslaved in their minds by religious teachings instead of teachings from Scripture as inspired by the Holy Spirit. Many churches today teach religion and not the true gospel of Christ Jesus. To them, Jesus could not possibly go to hell in their un-renewed minds but they still nailed Him to the cross with their ignorance of the word of God. But we know from the teachings from the Holy Written Word of God that Jesus was nailed to the cross not for long. Jesus did not spend too much time on the cross and neither should you. Why? This is because the cross is a place of defeat, fear, lack, condemnation, suffering, and death. Thank God for the cross of Jesus Christ. But today, in Christ Jesus, you and I as sons and daughters of the Living God are not supposed to hang around the cross but we are supposed to hang around the throne of God. This is purely because of who God has made us in Christ Jesus. Our hang around place is not the cross but our pg. 3 permanent hang around place is our Father’s throne. We are invited to come Around the throne of our heavenly Father boldly to the throne of grace. In Christ, we are sat confidently with Him in the heavenly places at the right-hand side of God. The right-hand side of God denotes a place of Authority! Well, don’t just sit at the place of authority in Christ and fail to exercise your authority against the devil and his forces. Are you still nailed to cross in your mind? Then I will encourage you to renew your mind to the spiritual realities of God’s Word and come and hang around to the throne of our Father with some of us and with the twenty-four elders, with the four living creatures and with the innumerable number of the heavenly hosts and angels. Come and take your rightful place in Christ at the right-hand side of God as a dearly son or daughter of the Living God. Jesus endured the cross for us once and for all. He is not still nailed to the cross, is He? No! He is not. Why are you still nailed to the cross in your mind as a child of God? Why talk and yield to defeat, lack, sickness, fear condemnation as a born-again child of God? Why? I tell you why? It is because in your mind you are still nailed to the cross and trapped. But glory to God! Come over to your rightful place in Christ – the throne of your heavenly Father. and at His right hand with Christ; we always give the sacrifice of praise unto the Father through Christ Jesus – our Lord! There we give to Father the fruit of our lips through Christ Jesus – thanksgiving and praises. When you switched over to your rightful place in Christ Jesus and exercise your authority in Him, you are then able to give thanks to God always in Christ (see 1 Thessalonians 5 v 16-18, Philippians 4 v 4). You are then able to rejoice always in Christ. You are then able to believe God and His Word in your heart through Christ. Believing is acting His Word. But you cannot do that if you are still nailed to the cross in your mind. Renew your mind to realities of God’s Word. Please pause and reflect! O Apostle Thomas, but Jesus said “If anyone desires to come after Me, let this person denies himself, and take up his cross, and follow Him (see Matthew 16 v 24.” Yes… Jesus did say that. I did not say He did not. Did I? But know this, anyone who is born-again in Christ Jesus has already took his or her cross and is found in Christ. Especially if this child of God puts God and His Word into practice and continues to grow in Christ. pg. 4 Also, I like you to notice that when Jesus In the Resurrected Christ Jesus, we have said those words to His disciples, they were not born-again in Christ Jesus. Eventually, they were born-again after Jesus had resurrected from hell, after He collected every dropped of His own blood and after He ascended and entered into the Most Holy Place in heaven and after He presented His own blood to the Father on the heavenly altar. And after God, the Father of spirits accepted His sacrifice and glorified Jesus. There, the Resurrected Jesus obtained eternal redemption for us all who will believe what He has done for the world (see Hebrews 9 v 12). After all this, the Resurrected Christ came back to earth and appeared to many who contributed to His earthly ministry and to those who had believed in Him (see 1 Corinthians15 v 3 -9). This time though Jesus came not with the natural body but with the spiritual body, the incorruptible body. From this point forward, all those who believe in Him and receive Him as their Lord and Saviour were born by the Father of spirits and baptised with the Holy Spirit and with fire. And in Christ, they rejected the world where Satan is the ruler and accepted the world of spiritual Life and Righteousness through Christ Jesus. already taken our crosses because we have denied or rejected the world and its ruler- Satan! For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ for good works, which God prepared beforehand that His children should walk in them (see Ephesians 2 v 10, Colossians 1 v 13-14). The Easter message is that Christ is RISEN! He is Risen indeed! We were risen with Him. Then, I will encourage you to renew your minds to the realities of God’s Word and take your rightful position in Christ – not still hanging and nailing on the Cross and in Hell in your un-renewed minds. But rather taken your rightful place or position in the Resurrected Christ Jesus. Begin to perpetually hang around the throne of God and at the right-hand of God in Christ Jesus with perpetual praise and thanksgiving. Happy Easter to you and your households in Jesus Name. Amen Closing Prayer Heavenly Father in Christ Jesus we thank you for your incorruptible living Word, that Word has come to us, help us to be doers thereof. In Jesus Name. Amen.
