In the last days

Saints of the Living God, GREETINGS!

It is another week, and we thank and rejoice in the Living God, our Heavenly Father, through the Lord Jesus Christ, for His provision, love, care, and his indwelling peace in us by the Divine Person of the Holy Spirit.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we thank you for another week of divine health, divine peace, divine provision and divine wisdom and revelation of God, the Father of spirits. We come today, this very hour, in our own accord, to feed our born-again spirit-beings with the rich nutrient of God’s Holy Word. We agree that your Word is the truth. We trust the Holy Spirit to bring the light of God’s Word into our minds and the direction of that Word into our spirits. We trust you, the Lord Jesus Christ, that we will be doers of your Word and not hearers, readers or speakers only. In Jesus Name. Amen

 

 

 

Theme/Subject: ‘In the last days’

The striking assessment of the condition of men (people without Christ and carnal believers) in the last days is overwhelmingly towards lovers of themselves, lovers of money and lover of pleasure. What does it mean in the last days? In the last days refers to the period during and after Pentecost where men (people) are able to freely fellowship with their Creator and Father through Christ Jesus till His second coming. I would say that the last days began right after Pentecost where men were given the divine nature to become new creations in Christ and by so doing they are able to fellowship with their Creator and Father through Christ Jesus, our Lord!  People have been living in the last days ever since because the Father’s plan of redemption through Christ that wiped out the handwritten of requirements that was against men and contrary to men which meant that without those requirements taken out of the way men were without hope, hopeless, without God, godless and without Christ, lifeless to fellowship with the Living God, their Creator and Father. The Pentecost experience and thereafter, all people who call on the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ were born-again (saved) not by the means of the senses or by the means of natural birth but they were or are born-again by the Father of spirits and they receive divine ability or the divine nature to once again be able to fellowship with their Creator and Father after the fall of the Adam in the garden of Eden as though sin has never been. As though Satan has never been. The New Creation era!  As though the legacy of the first Adam which brought death ceased and the legacy of the second and the last Adam, our Lord Jesus Christ, which brought eternal life through love, Agape, is here now and is here to stay until His second coming.

In the last days men have the divine access or the Way to be able to fellowship with their Creator and Father. Jesus Christ is the Divine Access through Him men can fellowship with the Father of spirits (see John 14 v 6).  Men are now without excuse of not willing to fellowship with their Creator and Father through Christ Jesus.  Therefore, the phrase – ‘in the last days’ covers the period during and after the Pentecost where all people now by the grace of God through faith in Christ Jesus are able to fellowship with their Creator and Father till the Lord’s second coming.

In the last days, men and women have the choice to call on the Name of Jesus and be born-again by the Father of spirits and to become new creation people. The new creation people or the believing ones through Christ Jesus can boldly enter into the presence of the heavenly Father without the sense guilt, shame, condemnation, sin consciousness and/or inferiority (see Ephesians 1 v 4, Colossians 1 v 21-24). They can stand in the presence of the adversary, Satan, to resist his accusations as though sin has never been. The new creation people are also called righteousness, holiness, saints, beloved, sons and daughters of the Living God, children of God, the believing ones and so on. The new creation people are never called sinners but they are called saints in Christ.

However, as we see from 2Timothy 3, in the last days, perilous times will come because men (people without Christ and carnal believers) will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money and lovers of pleasure (see 2 Timothy 3 v 1-3).  Men without Christ are called natural men, unbelievers, unregenerate and so on (see 1 Corinthians 2 v 14). Men who have Christ but have deliberately decided not to grow in Him through the Word of God as led by the Holy Spirit are babes in Christ and they are called carnal men (see 1 Corinthians 3 v 1-4). In relation to this, it is important for you to know that every new creation person started off as a babe in Christ but our Creator and Father expects us to grow in our knowledge and our understanding of who we are in Christ and who our Father is, who our Lord Jesus is and who the Holy Spirit is, who the body of Christ is and so on. And once we obtain this knowledge through the Word of God by the guidance of the Holy Spirt then the expectation of the Father is to practice the knowledge and by so doing the new creation people put Satan and all his forces under their feet in Jesus Name. Sadly, some new creation people deliberately decide to stagnate as babes in Christ and they never desire to mature from feeding on the milk of the Word of God into the meat of the Word of God. Such new creation people are riddled with envy, strife and divisions (see 1 Corinthians 3 v 3). Spiritual men are new creation people who desire and avail themselves for the continuous growth and maturity in Christ (see 1 Corinthians 2 v 15). Spiritual men and women are lovers of God. They long for the things of God.

Therefore, in the last days, perilous times will come because men without Christ and carnal believers will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money and lovers of pleasure (see 2 Timothy 3 v 1-3). The message is clear, desire always to grow and mature in Christ as new creation people. The natural man, a person without Christ has to call on the Name of Jesus to become a new creation in Christ and he or she also needs to desire to grow and mature in Christ. In our next set of teachings following this one, we will allow the Holy Spirit to give us a deeper understanding of the following: lovers of themselves, lovers of money and lovers of pleasure.
